Got a Crisis?
Join Sam Singer to Talk Crisis Management
Join us on August 23rd to hear one of San Francisco’s most powerful crisis management specialists talk about what it’s like to take on some of the Bay Area’s most interesting and often unpopular causes.
Sam Singer, President of Singer Associates, has been dubbed “The Fixer” by the San Jose Mercury News, a “Top Gun for Hire” by the San Francisco Chronicle, and one of the most powerful people in the San Francisco Bay Area by 7×7 Magazinefor his ability to impact the news for his clients. He’s no stranger to unpopular causes, the latest being his representation of the Warriors Arena foes.
Nationally known for handling some of most significant public affairs and crisis communications issues of the day, he has won many fans among reporters and editors for his good nature and calm demeanor while representing clients who include such name brand organizations as San Francisco 49ers, Airbnb, Stanford University, Levi Strauss & Co., Visa International, and the Ford Motor Company. His work with prominent corporations, non-profits, political issues and candidates has often turned the tide for his clients.
For instance, his recent contributions to their communications strategy helped Chevron Corporation turn the table in exposing the fraudulent $19 billion lawsuit against the oil company in Ecuador. He worked with Jack-in-the-Box to respond to a food poisoning outbreak; helped the SF Zoo respond to a terrible tiger mauling incident and represented the Bar Pilots Association when a Cosco barge hit the Bay Bridge. There’s almost no major local organization that hasn’t called upon his services.
Sam’s agency has collected many awards, including the Bronze Anvil, the highest national award for public relations projects. His work in creating a series of print advertisements on the issue of homelessness in San Francisco was selected for permanent display in the U.S. Library of Congress.
Sam’s a former executive newspaper editor and television reporter. Prior to forming the agency, he was Communications Director and Press Secretary to Nevada Governor Richard Bryan in his successful bid for the U.S. Senate. His previous agency experience includes positions at three of California’s leading public relations and advertising agencies. Immediately prior to re-forming Singer Associates, he was President and Western Region Director of GCI, a division of Grey Advertising, New York.
