Developing Effective Drought Messaging Across the Bay Area
Join us for a lively discussion on our statewide drought and the challenges involved in communicating effectively with water customers throughout the Bay Area. Libby Pischel from Marin Municipal Water District, Abby Figueroa from East Bay Municipal Utility District and Alison Kastama from Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System will share the impact of the drought on each agency’s water sources and on their customers. They will recap what the agencies are asking their customers to do in light of the latest statewide decree; how they are communicating drought messages to customers; what each of the three agencies’ plans are for the remainder of 2014; and the re-evaluation of the drought status.
