On the Move: Robin Carr Takes New Position at Blurb

Posted on May 25, 2015 by Lisa Stockwell in News, On the Move, Sidebar Posts No Comments

Screen Shot 2015-05-25 at 2.48.55 PMSFPRRT member, Robin Carr, has just moved to Blurb, Inc., the online creative book and magazine publishing platform, as Director of Communications. She reports directly to Blurb’s founder and CEO, Eileen Gittins.

Robin was most recently Director of Public Relations at Zoom Corporation, a position she previously held at Eastman Kodak, Kaiser Permanente, Gap, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts and Nike. She was also the Manager of Communications with the SF Giants from 1985 to 1994.

If you’re not aware of Blurb, you’ve been missing a great resource. Millions of books have been published on its platform, since Gittins founded the company in 2005. Its software is extremely easy—and fun—to use (a fact I can attest to, having used it to publish several family memoir and travel books myself). For those who need a little assistance, Blurb has recently pulled together the Dream Team, a community of highly vetted freelance professionals available to help businesses and authors with book coaching, design, editing, illustration, and art services.

Robin will guide brand communications, product PR, and social media channels for Blurb.
