The San Francisco Public Relations Round Table is offering its members and guests a special holiday treat: a tour of Dandelion Chocolate’s active bean-to-bar chocolate factory at 16th and Alabama streets in San Francisco, within walking distance of the 16th Street BART station (at Mission).
One of Dandelion’s knowledgeable tour guides will lead us through their complete production process from cacao bean to finished chocolate bar. Along the way, we will taste cacao fruit and roasted cacao beans from different origins, and warm melted chocolate as it is refining, along with their finished single origin dark chocolate bars.
This is a chance to escape the holiday frenzy and slow down by immersing your senses in the intoxicating aroma of chocolate in the making. You’ll leave with a hot chocolate gift card to use in the Dandelion café or to keep for another visit. And you can stock up on chocolate for holiday presents at their extensive gift store. After the tour, we will adjourn to a private event space for mingling and a happy hour.
Note: This is an adults-only event. Space is limited to the first 24 people who sign up.
When: Monday, December 9, 2019
Where: Dandelion Chocolate Factory, 2600 16th Street, S.F.
Time: Arrive by 3:45 p.m. (earlier if you want to start off with a hot chocolate from their chocolate bar); the tour will start at 4 p.m. sharp and last for an hour, to be followed by a happy hour in a private event space.
