While we won’t lament the end of the very challenging 2020, it’s anyone’s guess what lies ahead of us in 2021. All the better to focus our energies on what we can do to move our profession forward and to consider the ways the state and national news is likely to unfold in the new year.
Join the PR Round Table on Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., when Carla Marinucci, veteran political reporter and senior writer for POLITICO’s California Playbook, will join us for our third annual Valentine’s Gala Auction & Fundraiser. Moderator for the conversation with Marinucci will be Round Table board member Sarah Segal, founder of Segal Communications.
Proceeds from the virtual event will benefit the Round Table’s Scholarship Program, which provides generous stipends to Bay Area college students studying PR and allied fields.
One of California’s leading political writers, Marinucci has been honored as one of the state’s top digital influencers in political reporting. She will offer her view on both California’s and the nation’s political landscape in the new year, with a perhaps less than nostalgic look back on the challenges and political missteps, faced and avoided, in 2020.
Plan to join us early to engage in the fun event, which will also feature perennial favorite Donna Sachet, iconic San Francisco drag actor and singer who will offer a few songs and run the live auction to raise funds for scholarships. The event will be live streamed on Zoom; registrants will receive the Zoom link from Eventbrite several days ahead of the event.

Theater tickets, restaurant and food experiences and gift certificates, books, jewelry, wine, vacation rentals, art and lessons are among the items people love to bid on. Get creative!
